On the edge of the Macclesfield Golf Club, beside a wooden radio mast, 30 yards North East of ‘The Hoillins’ (house) and ten yards East of a public footpath. LOCKED All surface features remain intact but the ventilation louvres are missing. Two of them are lying in the undergrowth nearby. A little green paint remains. The hatch is locked with its original locking bar and a new padlock. Macclesfield is hidden in the overgrown area at the side of a newly constructed telephone mast. The lock although in place has been cut. The post is in good condition although a little flooded.
Opened in 1965 and closed in 1968.
