In a compound on the South side of Shepshed Road (B588)
LOCKED All surface features remain intact with a little flaking of the green paint. The ventilation shaft has been rebuilt with larger louvres and a new hatch without an internal lock has been fitted. The hatch is welded shut.
January 2018: It is reported that the post has been filled in with concrete, surface features remain in place but very overgrown.
Opened in 1960 and closed in 1991.
Very overgrown site. Lid opens, but the post has indeed been filled in with concrete.
