DEMOLISHED. No trace of anything, the post was demolished a year after closure. From Adrian Armishaw May 2012 Yesterday I went to see if anything remains of the post at Daventry, Northamptonshire. After some minor digging about it is clear that only the surface features were demolished to ground level and dumped down the shaft. A weak mortar mix was poured over the rubble to bind it together. The truncated remains of the entrance shaft, ventilation shafts and BPI pipe can all be seen at SP 58761 62653
