On a low mound 55 yards east of the A82 overlooking Commando Monument
OPEN All surface features remain intact. The hatch which is damaged is open. The ventilation louvres are missing. The top of the ventilation shaft which stands on several courses of bricks is damaged, The FSM pipe stands on a concrete plinth. There is a disused telegraph pole alongside. Internally the post is flooded to a depth of 6". The table, shelf and cupboard remain in place. There is a GPO Ever Ready battery on the table and some GPO junction boxes and wiring on the wall.
An aircraft post built from concrete blocks stands alongside. It has an open section and the crew quarters is covered with a sloping metal sheet. It is approximately 7' X 5'
Opened in 1960 and closed in 1968.
