Aberdeen City Civil Defence Control was located in the basement of 1 Queens Gardens, Aberdeen during the last war. It remained operational until 1968 but the basement has now been put to other uses. One storeroom however still contains the standby Lister generator and leaning against the wall one of the original gas tight wooden doors into the bunker. The door itself is within a removable door frame that can be locked into place.
