Farncombe was one of 40 WW2 cold stores. Those at Hexham and Loughborough were later converted into RGHQ’s and have now been demolished. The cold store at Llandudno Junction was considered for the RGHQ for North Wales but never used.
Farncombe wais an identical building, it was demolished in the late 1990’s. It stood alongside the Guildford - Portsmouth railway line.
