In a rectangular compound in the North corner of allotments on the East side of an un-named minor road.
LOCKED All surface features remain intact with the grey and metallic blue paint in good condition. Instead of the usual concrete step up to the shaft, metal steps with a hand rail give access to the hatch which is open. The standard issue table and shelf have been replaced with a long table utilising one of the original fixings. Other items remaining include the cupboard, a camping cooker, BT connection boxes, wiring. light, FSM mount and cleaning materials. The post was open when inspected in 1999 but it has now been locked. The post is currently being restored (2010)
Equipment shown is not stored in the bunker.
Closed in 1991.

Just visited the Kettering ROC post today and it’s very well maintained. The land surrounding the bunker is regularly maintained.
The bunker itself is clean and in great condition. I believe this one is privately owned and you can arrange a viewing if you contact the owner. Worth a visit for sure!

It is with regret we have to announce that after 14 years in our care, Kettering ROC Post is now closed. Unfortunately our landlords are apparently planning to dispose of the land, so we have not had our lease renewed.
This is really disappointing for us after all of the hard work that was put into bringing the post back to life, we are currently unsure what direction to take next. We may try to find another post to restore, or help other post restorers, although at the moment we are feeling somewhat disheartened.
We would like to thank everyone who has visited, helped out, donated & supported us over the years. We will leave you with a few photos of happier times.
